This HotFix Release Notes supplement the version 2020R2 Service Pack 2 release of the AVEVA Edge product, and its Product Release Notes. It is recommended that you review these and all Release Notes before you begin.

Before installing this HotFix, you must have Studio Manager.exe, Viewer.exe, StADOSvr.exe, MobileAccesstask.exe (and any other executables from AVEVA Edge 2020R2 Service Pack 2) completely stopped. Be aware, this means that operator and configuration clients of the AVEVA Edge 2020R2 Service Pack 2 system will not be operational during this install.

This HotFix contains software that will replace existing AVEVA Edge 2020R2 Service Pack 2 software. Backup the files that are going to be replaced. No project files and configuration are replaced, however, it is strongly recommended that you always backup your existing application files and configuration prior to loading any software.


1. Extract the content of the zip file 2020.3.00.01.zip, you will end up with the "bin", "Redist", and "wwwroot" folders;
	
2. Copy all folders on top of the existing bin and Redist folders from the current installation path 	
	2.1 - by default it should be "C:\Program Files (x86)\AVEVA\AVEVA Edge 2020"
	2.2 - replace all matching files.	
	
3. For Mobile Access users, copy the wwwroot\AVEVAEdge2020 folder to the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\AVEVAEdge2020 folder.
	3.1 - replace all matching files.		
	3.2 - Unregister the service worker and clear the browser cache on any Mobile Access clients

4. For mobile access thin client users and web thin client users; open the product IDE and export all the screens to HTML

5. Run Verify application

Additional steps for Linux users:

6. Connect to your IoT device using the Remote Management tool, install system files to push the hotfix files to the IoT device, then download the updated project.
	6.1 - Restart the device.
